Frozen Britain


This striking image was taken by Nasa's Terra satellite on 7 January 2010. It shows the UK deep in the clutches of the current cold snap. It is a bit reminiscent of images from the movie The Day After Tomorrow. It is completely white from one end of the country to the other.  Quite amazing...

    Haha, it does look like the day after tomorrow - when I showed my brother the picture he said: "Look out for the Super Cell!", you know the super cold that added to the action in the film "The Day After Tomorrow" but otherwise just felt totally unreal and hilarious. So, for you all out there in the snow of Britain: "Watch out for the Super Cell!"
