Dollhouse

Today, after watching the very last episode of Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, and in light of the fact that it has been cancelled, I felt inspired to write my own personal review of the series.

Check out MissKitten's blog. She has some interesting thoughts on how strangers can be friends that you just don't know yet. It got me thinking as well and I posted a comment on her blog.  Check it out...

An Inukwhat...?

You might be wondering what that symbol is in my profile box to the right, next to my screen name, Mediatorsk, and since it has been amusingly mistaken for a symbol of a temple, I thought I should take the time to explain what it means.

Frozen Britain

This striking image was taken by Nasa's Terra satellite on 7 January 2010. It shows the UK deep in the clutches of the current cold snap. It is a bit reminiscent of images from the movie The Day After Tomorrow. It is completely white from one end of the country to the other.  Quite amazing...

Snow Day in the UK!

No work, no school today!  We have been blanketed with up to 40cm (16 inches) of snow in the area where I live.  The UK has not seen this much snow in decades.  Some parts of Scotland have seen temperatures plummet to -20 degrees Celcius, and much of the country is covered in snow, although the south of England, where I live, got the brunt of it today.  Gatwick airport was closed and  many homes are without power after heavy snow brought down power lines, but we're fine here.  The snow has now let up, but widespread ice will become the next problem, and many parts of the UK are slowly running out of gritting supplies.

Happy New Year!

It's a beautiful, but chilly start to 2010 here in London. Let's hope that this is a sign of good things to come. I think I'll go for a walk later (after I bundle up warm of course) and enjoy the good weather while it lasts. Undoubtedly, many people have awakened with a hangover this morning, but I am clear headed and I am feeling the positive effects of the sunshine.

It's time to take over the reigns and steer my life in the right direction.
